The Role of Blowers and Induced Draft Fans in Boiler Systems

In boiler systems, blowers and induced draft fans play complementary yet complementary roles, jointly ensuring airflow control and combustion efficiency.

The induced draft fan, located at the rear of the boiler, is responsible for extracting flue gas generated in the furnace and discharging it towards the chimney, thereby creating the necessary negative pressure environment within the system. This not only ensures smooth exhaust of waste gas but also effectively prevents backflow and maintains stable pressure inside the furnace.

The blower, installed at the front of the boiler, primarily functions to pressurize and deliver fresh outside air into the furnace, creating a positive airflow. By continuously and stably supplying combustion air, the blower provides the necessary conditions for complete fuel combustion, directly supporting improved combustion efficiency.

These two components, one extracting and the other delivering, work together to maintain pressure balance and airflow within the boiler, forming a core equipment combination that ensures the efficient and safe operation of the system.
